There has been a big debate in the Senate over the last week on a $95 billion national security supplemental to support Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. There were countless floor speeches given by some of my Republican colleagues who opposed providing assistance to Ukraine. Quite frankly, some of the points made were ridiculous and factually inaccurate. And that's why I directly responded to them on the Senate floor.

This wasn't an easy vote politically for a lot of Republicans. But it wasn't a hard vote for me, and I'm not going to make any apologies for it. This Congress cannot be remembered in history for abandoning Ukraine and emboldening Putin and Communist China.

America must deter our adversaries and strengthen our NATO alliance. It's why I voted for the bill and why I'll be pushing my colleagues in the House to cast politics aside and pass it so it can be signed into law.
