John,
Donald Trump was the greatest threat to U.S. alliances in history during his four years in office. Now he’s promising to be even worse.
Last weekend, he promised our NATO allies that he would encourage Russia “to do whatever the hell they want” to them if they fall behind on their membership fees. That’s just not how this works!
President Biden called Trump’s remarks “appalling and dangerous,” and he’s right. An attack on a NATO ally is an attack on every NATO country, whether or not they’re behind on some bills (and Trump has his own unpaid bills he should worry about).
John, his comments are a warning.
When Trump asked Russia to release Hillary Clinton’s classified emails, it was an act of treason. Now he’s threatening to help Russia start World War III, and Putin’s one Ukraine away from launching it in Poland.
That’s why defending Ukraine is so important. But MAGA Republicans like my opponent would rather abandon our ally and let Putin win.
