Hey John, I wanted to catch you while I’m having a cup of coffee to ask if you could chip in toward our mid-quarter goal.
I’ll get into why this goal matters in a minute, but if you’d rather cut the chase, you can pitch in any amount right here:
You know I hate asking for your hard-earned money—if I could go without it, I would. But there’s more than a few good reasons why I’m reaching out today:
- My team sets these fundraising goals to ensure we’re on the right track. A lot goes into running a grassroots campaign, and one misstep could throw us off for weeks or even months—so staying on track is a big reason why we’ve gotta hit this goal.
- We’re jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire. Campaign spending is through the roof and things will only heat up from here on out, so getting the resources we need to win this thing in November is a top priority right now.
- The support we get through emails like this one keeps this grassroots campaign going. Meeting our deadlines ensures we have the resources to compete with the millions of dollars entering Montana’s Senate race.
Now that you understand our situation, I hope you don’t mind if I ask: Can you chip in any amount toward our mid-quarter goal? Whatever you can spare—whether it’s $20 or the spare change from your dresser—I truly appreciate every cent:

Thanks for being in my corner, John, I’ll never stop being in yours.
