WHY AND HOW THE HOUSE WILL VOTE TO IMPEACH MAYORKAS AGAIN THIS WEEK

Dear John,

This week, the House of Representatives will take a second vote to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for his role in creating the border crisis. News headlines last week covered the first attempt at the vote, which failed in part because Majority Leader Scalise was out receiving treatment for cancer. The vote would have failed at 215-215, but Rep. Blake Moore (UT-01) switched his vote to "No" in order to preserve the ability to bring the vote up again at a later date, which is why the final count was 214-216 against. Rep. Moore's vote is the reason the House will get a second chance today.
