Hello Supporter,
Across Alaska, lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) from Bristol Bay to the Yukon-Kuskokwim region provide subsistence resources for over 100 Alaska Native communities. These intact landscapes nourish incredible wildlife populations like caribou, moose and migratory birds...and serve as massive carbon sinks for the planet.
A departing decision by the Trump administration threatened to repurpose these lands for extractive industrial development. And now, your friends at Alaska Wilderness League are driving public input to preserve them for wildlife and communities instead.
Chip in today to fuel this fight!
Your dollars will help Alaska Wilderness League mobilize the masses to let BLM know these lands are worth far more when protected. Not only will continued protections ensure that harmful industrialization cannot take place on these lands, it will also continue to support the livelihood of:
- All five species of Pacific salmon
- Three of North America’s largest caribou herds
- Abundant moose populations, and
- A vast number of migratory bird species
|
Help us protect public land uses that support local communities and prioritize clean water, healthy habitat and food security over industrial development.
Thank you!
- Alaska Wilderness League
