ACLU

Hi ACLU Supporter –

Right now, the Trump administration is trying to roll back anti-discrimination protections in the Affordable Care Act – protections that ensured comprehensive healthcare for transgender and non-binary people, all women, and other communities whose needs have historically been denied.

This is urgent: We have just 4 days to tell the Department of Health and Human Services that we oppose this proposed rule. Submit your public comment against this unconstitutional license to discriminate.

People who are transgender, non-binary, or seeking an abortion are regularly denied care and harassed by healthcare providers. The Health Care Rights Law was designed to combat this problem by prohibiting discrimination based on sex, race, ethnicity, age, or disability in accessing coverage. It's a vital, often life-saving component of the ACA – that's why we need to act right now to save it.

Over 12,000 people have already submitted public comments against the proposed rule – now we need to ramp up the pressure as we approach the deadline to keep it from taking effect.

Make your public comment now: HHS must uphold the ACA's anti-discrimination protections and ensure that the millions of people who now have access to healthcare don't lose it.

ACLU Supporter, it's clear the Trump administration will stop at nothing to roll back progress we've made toward achieving equality for all. But we won't stop fighting back – and together, we can win.

Thanks for taking action,
