As you know, these are unprecedented times. In Washington, we are doing everything we can and are working closely with state and local governments to address the public health and economic impacts of this pandemic. I hope you, your friends and family are faring well during these tumultuous times, and have access to everything you need to help you get through.
In Congress, we have already passed two legislative packages in response, including the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. This act will provide two weeks of paid sick leave, guarantee free testing, and expand Medicaid, food assistance programs and unemployment insurance to those in need. As the situation changes daily, we will continue to work to ensure all Americans have access to critical resources.
Although many aspects of our everyday lives have been put on hold, our democracy is not one of them. Elections will continue, and, as such, I need to continue to prepare for my next race.
It is not “business as usual” over here at Carbajal for Congress. We have canceled all in-person fundraising events and have had to postpone our door-to-door voter contact.
In this time of social isolation, we need to rely on our digital fundraising efforts more than ever. I hope you can help us out by clicking here and contributing today.
Our books will still close on March 31, and we still have goals to meet to run a successful campaign in the fall. Our opponent has not taken a break from fundraising, and we can’t afford to either.
Many Americans have felt the economic impact of this virus, and if you are one of them, please take care of your household needs first. But, if you are able, we would appreciate your support and hope you will click here to contribute today.
Contributions can also be mailed to: Salud Carbajal for Congress, PO Box 1290, Santa Barbara, CA 93102.
Thank you for your support and stay well.
Sincerely,
Salud
