The agency's website is more mobile-friendly than ever, and an all-new navigation design will help you quickly find the programs or services that interest you.
Applications for the 10-week paid summer internship are open through February 20! Administered by the Friends of the Texas Historical Commission, undergraduate and graduate students from underrepresented groups gain exposure to exciting opportunities in the fields of architecture, archeology, downtown revitalization, heritage tourism, and more.
Real Places is where ideas and inspiration for preserving Texas history are born. Presented by the Friends of the Texas Historical Commission in partnership with Phoenix I Restoration and Construction, LLC, Real Places 2024 will feature over 60 sessions, workshops, and tours; five keynote presentations; more than 100 expert speakers from across Texas and the U.S.; several fun networking events; and new activities such as the short “lightning sessions.” Recordings will be available to all attendees, whether joining us online or in person, so you’ll be able to watch all the great presentations you missed due to concurrent sessions.
