Friend,
It's always a great day in South Carolina!

But today holds a special place in my heart as I’m preparing to take the stage for a bus tour stop in my hometown of Bamberg in just 90 minutes.
As I return to my hometown, I want to remind you of something important.
When my parents moved to this country legally more than 50 years ago in search of a better life, they settled in Bamberg, South Carolina–population 2,500. We had two stop lights. You couldn't think about doing something wrong without somebody already telling your mom.
The small town represented the best of this country. As a child, I saw a deep love of freedom, a deep kind of faith, and a deep sense of community. Neighbors would help neighbors. It was one family.
Small-town life had a big impact on me. It shaped my view of America and my respect for the values that make our nation exceptional.
And when I stepped into public service, especially as governor, I knew I had to represent the rural areas I grew up around. I fought for the people who others forget — the people who know this country is blessed, and bless it further by their hard work.

I was sworn in as governor over 12 years ago, and it was one of the greatest honors of my life.
But, winning this race wasn’t easy.
When I launched my campaign, I was the least known and least funded GOP candidate. People told me I was too brown, too female, and too young. I was an outsider and an underdog.
But South Carolina took a chance on me, and we won.
Then, I proved why I deserved to be there.
Every day I am grateful for the great people of South Carolina who took a chance on me and helped me take on the establishment so we could fight for the people of our state.

Now, I’m asking for your help to do the same as I run for President.
Right now, in the greatest country on the face of the earth, we have parents struggling to afford groceries. We have families who can’t afford to keep the lights on. We have small businesses that can’t afford rent. We have children drastically falling behind in the classroom.
You deserve better. You deserve a leader who will fight for you, no matter how hard it gets.
We need a leader who will make our country strong and proud, hold politicians accountable, and focus on serving the American people.

We can win this, but I need your help to fund my campaign. So can I count on your support before I take the stage in Bamberg in just 90 minutes?

South Carolina took a chance on me because we share the same values: a love of country and a commitment to defend it. The people of our state knew I would fight for them and prioritize people over politics.
That’s exactly what I did as governor and it’s exactly what I’ll do as your next President.
We’ve got a country to save and together we can get the job done.

Will you join me in this fight?
Thank you for your support!

More About Nikki Haley

My name is Nikki Haley. I want to tell you a bit about myself and why I’m running for President of the United States.
I’m running for President because my parents came to America more than 50 years ago – an America that was strong and proud, and full of opportunities. I want them to know that America again.
I’m running for President as a military spouse. My husband is deployed and I want him and his military brothers and sisters to know their sacrifice means something – that we do love this country.
I’m running for President for the future of our kids. I have a daughter who just got married and I saw how hard it was for her and her husband to buy a home. I’m doing this for my son who’s a senior in college and shouldn’t have to worry about saying things on a paper that he doesn’t believe in just to get an A.
I’m running for my daughter, my son, and our future generations. I want them to experience the freedom and opportunity that the American Dream has to offer.
I’m running for President because we have a country to save!
I’ve seen that even on our worst days, we are blessed to live in America. But I also know that under Biden’s leadership, times are tough, our future is slipping, and America can be doing so much better.
As governor, I was dubbed a “jobs governor” because I slashed our unemployment rate, brought jobs back to our state, and shepherded in a successful economic recovery.
At the UN I fought for America, made sure our allies knew we had their backs, and stood up to murderers and dictators to let them know that America was taking names.
I know how to make America strong and proud because I’ve done it before. And I’ll do it as your next President.
As President, I’ll revitalize our economy, support small businesses, stop Washington’s spending sprees, protect our border, champion school choice, and save America’s future.
