Friend,

I know you care deeply about defending our Democratic Senate majority.

That's why I'm bringing you an important update from Montana, where my friend Sen. Jon Tester is in a toss-up race that could determine which party controls the Senate – and a dangerous new GOP opponent just entered the race against him.

First, allow me a moment to explain why it's so important to keep Jon in the Senate. No one can represent Montana better than Jon Tester. He farms the same land that his grandparents homesteaded 100 years ago. He knows what issues matter to Montanans and he strives to move the needle for them. He is committed to his home state – fighting for the people of Montana in everything he does.

In fact, I've personally worked with Jon on legislation in the Senate to help our nation's veterans. I've witnessed firsthand how hard Jon works to get things done. Losing his compassion and tenacity would be a loss for our country, and it would almost certainly impede Democrats' ability to hold the Senate.

That's why this moment is so important: A new Republican opponent jumped into the race against Sen. Tester, extremist Matt Rosendale, and virtually every election forecaster is saying this Senate race is a toss-up. Both Republican challengers are MAGA-Montanans competing for the votes of the most extreme members of their party and the attention of its leader.

With Republican super PACs already planning to spend big against Jon, I'm reaching out to this team to help him fight back against this new opponent and the outrageous GOP spending in the state – and to keep Jon in the Senate and defend our Democratic Senate majority.

So please, at this critical moment, will you split a donation of $5 between my campaign and Jon Tester's in Montana to keep this battleground state blue and defend our Democratic Senate majority?

Thank you,

Dick
