I know these past few weeks have been trying for all of us, and I want to thank you for working hard to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our communities.

My team of seasoned emergency management professionals continues to work around the clock to adjust to rapidly evolving Centers of Disease Control (CDC) guidance as the threat of COVID-19 makes its way across our nation and into our daily lives.

I just wanted to give you an update on the decisions we have made in the past week:
My administration is continuing to monitor the spread of COVID-19 in our state, and we will continue to work with Kansas legislators, local officials, and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment to make practical decisions to prevent further spread of the virus.
