EY training update

Following recent government advice regarding COVID-19, the decision has been made thatall Early Years training will be cancelled until June, which will be reviewed as further guidance is received. Peadiatric First Aid certificates update

*What happens if staff need to renew their paediatric first aid certificates?*

If paediatric first aid certificate requalification training is prevented for reasons associated directly with coronavirus (COVID-19) or by complying with related government advice, the validity of current certificates can be extended by up to 3 months. This applies to certificates expiring on or after 16 March 2020.

*Also please make sure your setting has sufficient first aid cover if not please contact the regulating bodies such as OFSTED for further clarification on specific situations.*



Information: cancellation of 2019/20 national curriculum assessments

The Secretary of State for Educationannouncedon, Wednesday 18 March, that the 2019/20 national curriculum assessments will not take place due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.All early years foundation stage, key stage 1 (KS1) and key stage 2 (KS2) assessments are cancelled, as outlined in the email sent earlier today [ [link removed] ]. This means that no monitoring or moderation activities will take place in 2019/20 and you will not receive the list detailing academy monitoring and moderation agreements.
