We’re in the home stretch!

This week I’m excited to announce endorsements from regional newspapers, local leaders, and California’s doctors and dentists!

Endorsements are great, but there is no substitute for direct voter contact. That is why Team Cabaldon is out knocking on doors, making phone calls, talking to voters in every corner of this district. We must be doing something right because voters are telling me every day that they’ve already turned in their ballots with a check mark next to my name!

I appreciate all of the support you have given me over the last 10 months. Election day is just over 3 weeks away, and together we are going to bring home the win on March 5.

** San Jose Mercury News & East Bay Times Endorse!

The Editorial Board for San Jose Mercury News and the East Bay Times have endorsed our campaign! In explaining their decision, they wrote:

“Unlike his opponents, Cabaldon, a Democrat, during our interview was consistently knowledgeable and articulate about the state’s budget, the volatility of tax revenues, mental health funding, minimum wage for health care workers and the state’s new incentives for housing construction.”

They join the Sacramento Bee and Bay Area Reporter as the latest newspapers in our region to encourage their readers to vote for me in March!

** California Medical Association and California Dental Association Endorses!

California’s doctors and dentists are throwing their support behind Team Cabaldon! With the fentanyl crisis ripping through too many communities, reproductive freedom under attack, and rural communities struggling to maintain access to the health care they need, I am incredibly proud to have the support of the organizations that represents over 50,000 physicians and 27,000 dentists in California.


** Mayors of District’s Two Biggest Cities Join Team Cabaldon!
------------------------------------------------------------

Here’s some big news: Vallejo Mayor Robert McConnel strongly endorses my candidacy! If you’ve met Mayor McConnell, you know he’s taken the time over the past nine months to get to know me, thoroughly examine my record and legislative plans, watch me at work, and connect me with a diverse range of his city’s voices and views. I’m inspired and fired up to have earned his support.

To the east, I’m also thrilled to announce the endorsement of Davis Mayor Josh Chapman. Mayor Chapman has been a teacher and Americorps volunteer, president of the Davis Downtown Business Association, and youth sports coach, and owns the fantastic Armadillo Music shop on F Street. A few months ago, he brought the celebrated Downtown Streets Team program we had pioneered in West Sacramento to Davis, using beautification, employment training, reintegration, and dignity to help unhoused residents exit homelessness.

He joins Davis Councilmember Gloria Partida, Supervisor Lucas Frerichs, former Senator Lois Wolk and Assemblymember Helen Thomson, and scores of Davis community leaders who are supporting our campaign.

I’m so proud to be endorsed by the mayors of the largest cities in the district’s two most populous counties. At the same time, the mayors of the small towns and mid-sized cities of the district also trust me to advocate for communities like ours in the Capitol. In fact, I’ve been endorsed by more Mayors than all of the other candidates in this race—combined!

From the very beginning grassroots Democrats have made their voices heard in this campaign. And they have spoken clearly, decisively, and in one voice.

** An Evening with Leaders from Across Napa!

The energizing momentum for our campaign was palpable at a recent event with the Progressive Women of Napa Valley as we were joined by mayors, councilmembers, county supervisors and school trustees from Napa, St. Helena, and American Canyon, down and up valley. Our venue lost power during this event, making it the most climate-friendly evening campaign event you’ve ever been to!
