This year, my goal is to talk to you about my vision for Maine’s future and our country. I will use these broader goals and visions to help navigate my decision-making in Congress and on this campaign.
We must secure the economic future for Mainers and all Americans, tackle income inequality, restore faith in government and bring it back to the people.
We face many systemic challenges that threaten our future prosperity and security as a state and a country. That includes traditional threats from enemies home and abroad, an out-of-balance trade deficit, and a tax code that is rigged for those at the top.
People are feeling cynical about the role of government, and for good reason. The political establishment does not care about the issues people are facing every day and too often those issues are going completely ignored.
