Friend,
Video games offer a number of benefits to people with disabilities, so it’s no surprise that 64% of disabled people enjoy playing them.
And after recognizing the need to see more disabled gamers front and center in video gaming communities, we launched ES Gaming – an initiative that is helping us amplify disabled voices and accessibility innovations in an ever-evolving industry.
Recently, we took ES Gaming to the next level by hosting the Game4Access Collegiate Rocket League Tournament on Feb. 1 that was streamed live from the Game4Access Twitch channel. Over 100 gamers took part to make the event a major success. We were excited to see how close all the games were with multiple overtimes and underdog victories.

Though we still have a long way to go to build a world with full equity, inclusion, and access, we like to think that ES Gaming is a way for adults to already experience that future in a virtual space. And we hope the success of our tournament will help spread awareness in the community about all the social, physical, and emotional benefits of gaming.
