After more than a year of rallying their base into a frenzy, ranting on FOX News and fear-mongering across social media about how much we needed to improve security at the border, Republicans in Congress this week voted AGAINST legislation that would have made the most significant reforms to border security in a generation.

For months we have heard countless cries from the GOP that this is an emergency that demands immediate action. They've called for restrictions and negotiated for them, only to vote against the very thing they’d been demanding just a few weeks earlier.

It's no secret why this is the case.

Republicans — including and especially Donald Trump — don’t actually want to make things better, they just want to use the situation at the border to campaign on this election season.

The hypocrisy is incredible, and a perfect illustration of just how unserious the GOP are about governing.

That is why we must do everything we can to defend our razor-thin majority in the Senate, win back the House and defeat Donald Trump this November — and it's why I'm asking you today:
