After folks showed up to Tallahassee and spoke out against the proposed Pride Flag Ban, something huge happened — we killed the bill!
This is exactly why it’s important to show up and speak out. There are so many people in Tallahassee and across the state fighting back against the GOP supermajority’s extreme agenda — but they need to know that we’ve got their backs.
Right now, there’s a bill on the table that would require all Florida driver’s licenses display a person’s sex assigned at birth, rather than their gender identity. And since the penalty for an “invalid driver’s license” in Florida could lead to jail time, this is yet another way the extremists in Tallahassee are trying to attack LGBTQ+ Floridians.
