According to climate scientists, January was the warmest January on record – just coming off the heels of the hottest year in history in 2023. Month after month, year after year, we are setting new records as the earth’s temperature continues to rise, causing more frequent extreme weather events, rising sea levels, and many more grave consequences for our environment.
The gravity of this situation cannot be overstated. We are facing an existential threat — one that demands our immediate attention and collective action in order to ensure we leave a habitable planet for future generations to inherit.
The time for half-measures and empty promises is over. That’s why Lori voted for the single largest investment in combating climate change in history, and it’s why she’s fighting to build on that progress in Congress. But she needs our help to overcome climate-denying GOP extremists blocking any meaningful climate legislation from passing.
