Seeing My First Fentanyl Overdose Recovery

Hi John,
I witnessed my first fentanyl overdose recovery last week.
In a ride-along with an amazing team of paramedics from SFFD, I observed what our first responders go through every day in San Francisco.
It was a profound experience, and one who's learnings will sit with me for some time.
From observing first responders go through 12 hour shifts beginning at 6:30AM, to noting their real-time decision making with emergency cases, to seeing the effects firsthand of Narcan and Saboxone on a patient's recovery - the compassion, intelligence, and fortitude of our first responders was inspiring to witness.
For my full account of the day, see my story here.

Our campaign for Supervisor is just going into its 3rd week, but we're already making significant headway.
We've been door knocking, phone banking, and reaching out to voters every day.
But it will take your continued support to ensure we reach as many voters as possible. With the first campaign reporting deadline this Saturday, can you help us out with $25, $50, $100, or $500 in the next 5 days?

Bonus points if you live in San Francisco, as your donations can be matched 6:1 by the city! That's right - if you donate $100, San Francisco's public matching program will match $600 on top of it to our campaign.

Your support is how we will win.
And if you can meet us in the field, our next mobilization will be this Saturday at 11AM! Hope to see you there.
Sincerely,

Bilal Mahmood
