The UN estimates 17,000 Gaza children — 1% of the displaced population — have been left unaccompanied or separated from their families amid escalating conflict.

Approximately 300,000 children endure inhumane conditions, lacking sufficient food and access to safe drinking water.

"When they said that my brother, my uncle and my whole family were killed I felt like my heart was bleeding with fire," Abed , a child living in al-Bureij refugee camp, told the BBC.

"When my mum and dad were alive, I used to sleep but after they were killed, I can't sleep any more. I used to sleep next to my dad. There's no food or water,” he continued. "I have a stomach ache from drinking sea water."

Thousands more children will suffer a similar fate so long as this conflict continues. Your humanitarian gifts are among the only hope at delivering basic services and essential health care to children and all those impacted by violence in Gaza.

Please, rush in an emergency gift to deliver lifesaving care in Gaza, the West Bank, and wherever women and girls need it most. [[link removed]]

UNFPA deeply regrets the end of the humanitarian pause in Gaza. We condemn the violence in Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank, including all sexual violence against women, and echo the UN Secretary-General’s call for a sustained humanitarian ceasefire and for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas.

Thank you for being there for women and girls.
