John,
In a recent interview with The Hill, Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) attacked his challenger, EMILYs List-endorsed candidate Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, after she rightfully called out his support for a national abortion ban.
Sen. Scott can run for reelection, but he can't hide from his voting record.
While in the Senate, Scott co-sponsored a 15-week ban that would have mandated prison sentences for doctors performing abortions. Last April, Scott stated that he would have proudly signed Florida's 6-week abortion ban into law if he were still governor.
It's simple, John: If Sen. Rick Scott wins his reelection campaign, he will use his vote in the Senate to pass a national abortion ban.Â
That's why EMILYs List is proud to endorse Debbie Mucarsel-Powell to flip this seat in November and send Scott and his anti-choice agenda packing. The overwhelming majority of Floridians and Americans support abortion rights, and they deserve a leader who reflects those values on the Senate floor.
Debbie is going to need the full support of this pro-choice community to DEFEAT Sen. Scott in November, John. Donate now to help Senate challengers like Debbie send anti-choice extremists packing >>
