MAGA Rep. Kevin Hern is weak, naive, and wrong on Russian President Vladimir Putin. I’m running for Congress in Oklahoma’s First District to defeat Hern because we need a strong, experienced representative who will stand up to Putin and defend America.
Hern and Putin have the same belief – both believe that Trump’s four indictments on 91 felony charges are wrong. Hern called America’s justice system a “witch hunt.” Putin said Trump’s indictments showed the “rottenness of the American political system.” Putin is trying to get America to lose faith in its justice system. Naive Kevin Hern is doing the same thing.
Hern and Putin have something else in common – they don’t want the U.S. to provide military aid to Ukraine. Since Putin invaded Ukraine, Hern has voted consistently NO to funding that would help Ukraine defend their democracy. Hern turned his back on Ukraine, on the rule of law, on democracy. He took the side of Putin. Kevin Hern is flat out wrong.
I spent 23 years in the FBI as a Special Agent fighting attempts by regimes like Russia to undermine America’s democracy. Putin is taking a page right out of the Russia subversion playbook. Putin interfered in our Presidential election. Now Putin is trying to undermine faith in our justice system. Hern is helping.
America’s justice system, while not perfect, is the envy of most nations. It is based on the rule of law that protects the rights and liberties of all Americans. That system provided the order that allowed Hern to acquire and operate his McDonald’s franchises. It protects his property, his contracts, and his wealth. Try running a McDonald’s franchise in Russia and calling Putin “pathetic” and calling for his resignation – like Hern did to President Biden. Your McDonald’s would be nationalized, and you’d find yourself in a prison colony above the Artic Circle with Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
