Hey John,

For a lot of us, the spread of coronavirus in North Carolina has taken an emotional, physical, and financial toll. That’s why we wanted to check in.

If you need food assistance, assistance with paying rent & utilities, support for your family, or other information, call or text 211.

We know things are hard right now, but we’ll get through this together.

All across North Carolina, neighbors are rolling up their sleeves to pitch in and help each other out during these trying times.

And you can help, too. If you are looking for ways to safely get involved, here are just a few things you can do:

  • Donate blood. If you’re healthy and able to donate, make an appointment to donate and help overcome the severe blood shortage.
  • Donate to local organizations helping with relief in North Carolina, like your local food bank or other organizations that help families in your community get food and critical supplies during this time. If you can’t donate, share the organizations’ information on social media to spread the word.
  • Order take-out or delivery to help your favorite local restaurants that are hurting.
Remember, we have to be smart, not let our guard down, and follow the advice of public health experts to slow the spread of coronavirus. Wash your hands often and stay at home. And, remember, if you do venture out, always maintain six feet of distance from others

Our campaign has canceled all in-person events until May 15th and our staff members are working from home as a way to do our part in keeping North Carolinians healthy and safe.
