Dear John, The Hunting Trophies (Import Prohibition) Bill is due its Second Reading in the House of Commons on 22nd March, and we need your support to help make sure this Bill becomes law. This long-awaited legislation has the potential to be world-leading and protect many species from the devastating impacts of trophy hunting. Despite repeated Government promises to ban the import of hunting trophies, in the almost nine years since the horrific killing of Cecil the Lion by an American trophy hunter in Zimbabwe, at least 60 more lions and hundreds of individual animals from many other species have been killed by British trophy hunters.
