Today, Trump is headlining a fundraiser in the Hamptons thrown by a swanky New York developer. You can imagine what their donor wall would look like.
Here's what our Grassroots Donor Wall will look like when it's completed: thousands and thousands of names covering one of the central areas in our Boston Headquarters, representing the people who fuel this movement.
But we also think it's important to mention who won't be on there.
Our Grassroots Donor Wall isn't going to feature the logos of any billionaire-funded super PACs, or the signatures of any Washington lobbyists.
And our Grassroots Donor Wall isn't going to have a special section for people who cut big checks at $10,000-a-head dinners.
Today, Trump is headlining a fundraiser in the Hamptons thrown by a swanky New York developer. The tickets go all the way up to $250,000 per person.
You can imagine what their donor wall would look like. You can imagine where they get their ideas.
They might be raising big money, but we know you can't buy a grassroots movement. We've got a $28 average donation because we know this election is going to be won person to person and family to family.
But it won't be easy. To make big, structural change happen — to make our politics work for everyone, not just the wealthy and well-connected — we all need to own a part of this.
We're so excited about our Grassroots Donor Wall because it's a sign that people are coming together from all across the country and all walks of life to each pitch in to this fight.
