The Bureau of Justice Statistics has released a dataset on federal law enforcement personnel through the National Archive of Criminal Justice Data (NACJD). The Census of Federal Law Enforcement Officers includes agencies that employed full-time officers with federal arrest authority who were authorized to carry firearms while on duty. Its data include—
- the number of officers, by primary job function
- demographic characteristics of officers, by agency.
