The Dept. of Veterans Affairs is trying to reinstate painful animal tests. Please use your voice and email Congress TODAY to protect our progress. Unsubscribe.

Taxpayer, it’s Superbowl Sunday, and you’re probably about to watch the game.

But I’m not. I’m working all day to rally 50,000 taxpayers to email their members of Congress before our deadline in 48 hours.

HERE’S WHY:

Problem: The Dept. of Veterans Affairs (VA) is deploying its top lobbyists to Capitol Hill to convince Congress that YOU—the American taxpayer—support re-starting animal experiments.

Bigger Problem: Latex injected into her arteries. Holes drilled into her head. Tethered to treadmills and forced to run until she collapsed. No anesthesia. No pain relief. These were the WORST dog labs within the federal government.

Short-term Solution: Congress will begin confirming the VA’s annual budget any day now. During this process—called “appropriations”—they decide how much money the agency gets and how it can be spent.

We MUST ensure the VA cannot fund any new painful dog tests this year.

Long-term Solution: While the appropriations bill is critical, it’s a short-term fix… it will only block the VA from funding puppy experiments for a year.

We also need a PERMANENT solution—a bill that will ban VA white coats from conducting cruel dog tests EVER AGAIN!

Extremely Urgent: Please rush an urgent email to Congress demanding they de-fund cruel and wasteful dog testing in the VA’s FY24 appropriations bill and introduce legislation to permanently ban the agency from spending federal tax money on dog abuse.

Unfortunately, Taxpayer, we can’t trust the VA to do the right thing. We must make them.

P.S. More information about this crisis is in the email forwarded below. Please don’t delay—email your federal lawmakers RIGHT NOW.

Taxpayer,

If you could trade 18 seconds for a 100% GUARANTEE that you’ll never pay taxes again for painful dog experiments at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs (VA)—would you?

You and I ended the VA’s painful dog tests. But that’s not stopping them from bringing it back.

URGENT ADVOCACY ALERT! Congress is about to confirm budgets for U.S. federal animal testing agencies. The VA’s white coats are also actively lobbying as you read this email.

They’re attempting to undo all our progress and convince Congress that taxpayer-funded animal experimentation is necessary—and that pet owners support it!

Please send an email to Congress demanding they block all funding for dog experiments in the VA’s new budget AND introduce legislation to PERMANENTLY ban the VA from spending taxpayer money on dog abuse.

Whistleblower photos from inside the Richmond VA's "maximum pain" heart attack experiments lab. Don’t let this happen again!

Taxpayer, the VA’s white coats are infamous for conducting dog experiments that will make you hold your own pet close and sob:

  • The Milwaukee VA was buying puppies, locking them in restraint devices, and DRILLING HOLES into their skulls.

  • The Cleveland VA (Stokes) was CUTTING OPEN hounds and damaging their spinal cords. They killed “submissive” and “friendly” dogs just days before their first birthday.

  • The St. Louis VA was KILLING 6-month-old puppies by draining their BLOOD, then HARVESTING dog hearts.

  • The Los Angeles VA was breeding Doberman puppies, INJECTING them with METH, and SLAUGHTERING them.

  • The Richmond VA was INJECTING LATEX into puppies’ arteries, CHAINING them to treadmills, and forcing them to run in HEART ATTACK tests. No anesthesia, no pain relief.

Taxpayer, last time you and I lobbied Congress, we successfully de-funded each of these horrific and wasteful labs. We also retired many survivors.

But here’s the problem: It’s a matter of time until it happens again because, quite frankly, the VA’s white coats can’t be trusted.

Don’t believe me?

We caught the VA ILLEGALLY experimenting on 51 dogs in eight unauthorized tests… costing taxpayers $393,606!

WCW also recently exposed that VA Secretary Denis McDonough personally authorized plans to begin a new round of painful experiments on seven cats at Cleveland’s Stokes lab.

This was after the VA explicitly promised Congress and the public that the VA would phase out testing on cats AND dogs.

Taxpayer, unless we rally Congress to permanently ban the VA from spending another cent on dog abuse, I can almost guarantee you that the VA’s white coats will try to reinstate maximum-pain dog testing—probably in the dark of night so that you and I don’t find out until it’s too late.

We’ve come too far to let that happen. Please email your members of Congress immediately to help us ensure that it doesn’t.

With extreme urgency,

P.S. Time Sensitive Advocacy Required: Taxpayer, WCW's goal is to kick the VA out of the dog experimentation business permanently. But at this moment, we URGENTLY need your help to ensure no new dog tests are funded in the VA’s 2024 annual budget. Congress is considering this RIGHT NOW. The VA just snuck through more illegal cat experiments. Please act now to block their dog labs! It takes just 18 seconds

Taxpayers shouldn't be forced to pay $20 billion+ for wasteful government animal experiments.
