It's been another busy week in Washington, D.C. fighting for the issues that matter most to you. From the crisis at our southern border to standing against Biden's two-tiered justice system, I am committed to delivering solutions to the American people. Read below on my work serving you.

It’s Past Time for the Senate to Pass H.R. 2

House Republicans passed H.R. 2, the strongest border security bill in history, to end the Democrat-created crisis at our southern border and secure our nation. Instead of immediately passing this common-sense America-first legislation, the Senate chose to waste time and put countless lives in danger to push a so-called ‘border bill’ that would make securing our nation an afterthought to foreign aid and processing illegal aliens into the United States. The Senate’s so-called ‘border legislation’ is amnesty for those who can get here first and fast and would leave our border wide open. Americans cannot afford to wait. Texans, my constituents, my neighbors, and friends, are pleading for help to secure our border. Senate Republicans did the right thing by rejecting this America-last legislation. Now, it’s time for them to step up and pass H.R. 2.

Holding Mayorkas Accountable

Following a nearly year-long investigation by the House Committee on Homeland Security, articles of impeachment were brought to the House floor against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas for willfully and systemically refusing to comply with federal immigration laws and breaching public trust. I proudly voted to impeach Mayorkas for his failure to uphold his oath to the American people. For too long he has lied to and misled the public causing a historic border crisis with deadly consequences that have spread throughout the nation. It’s past time we hold him accountable.

House Committee on Small Business Hearing

I led a hearing examining the SBA’s Small Business Size Standards. What classifies as a small business is more complicated than it seems and it’s no secret that the SBA’s size standards have a drastic impact on who can compete in the small business market. Accurate size standards from the SBA are critical because they impact the eligibility of small businesses for contracts across the entire government, not just one specific branch or agency. Secretary Yellen Refuses to Acknowledge the Financial Threats of Illegal Immigration

Our states and cities are not equipped to deal with the influx of millions of illegal immigrants who put a significant strain on our public resources. It is concerning to envision how the impacts of illegal immigration will continue to grow in the financial sector, ultimately hurting banks’ ability and willingness to lend. During this week’s Financial Services Committee hearing, Department of Treasury Secretary Yellen refused to answer my simple 'yes' or 'no' question. "Do you agree that illegal immigration is a potential threat to our financial system?" Watch the full clip here.

Ending the Witch Hunt on President Trump

The left is going to extreme lengths to suppress the will of the American people and keep Trump off the ballot. This week the Supreme Court will set a precedent which should be a clear 9-0 decision. I pray they fulfill their duty to uphold our democracy and end the senseless witch hunt to take down President Trump or any other candidate they disagree with.

Biden’s Two-Tiered Justice System

Despite overwhelming evidence, Special Counsel Robert Hur released a report clearing President Biden of criminal charges for mishandling classified documents. Special Counsel's justification for clearing these charges against Biden is that Biden's memory has such "significant limitations" that he could not convince a jury that Biden held a "mental state of willfulness" that a serious felony requires. The DOJ's failure to pursue criminal charges against Biden, despite clear evidence, showcases their glaring double standard in the application of justice. It is more clear than ever, Biden is unfit to serve as Commander in Chief.

In Case You Missed It!

When did we become a country that refuses to uphold law and order? The idea of letting 5,000 people per day illegally enter our nation is unbelievable. Even one illegal crossing is too many. The Senate chose to ignore H.R. 2 and instead pushed a 'border bill' that is more focused on foreign funding than securing our nation. Their response to this deadly and historic invasion of our country is a slap in the face to the American people. I joined Newsmax and Fox to discuss this and other top issues facing our nation.
