The Black Lens, an independent newspaper focused on stories that impact the Black community in Spokane and across the state.
Local news is essential to our democracy. Journalists are on the ground in our communities, asking important questions, countering misinformation, and holding those in power accountable.
While local journalism is under threat across the country and impacting all communities, studies show that outlets focused on serving minority communities are particularly vulnerable.
