What is a politician’s integrity worth? I’ve told you from the beginning
that I refuse to be corrupted by corporations and special interests, which
is why I’ve committed to running a 100% people-funded campaign.
However, a lot of politicians don’t seem to agree. They’ll cash campaign
checks from Amazon, Walgreens, Pfizer and dozens of others despite the
harm those companies cause to working people.
But, I want to hear from you on this. Do you think that politicians should
accept massive campaign contributions from corporations and special

I want to tell you a story. One of the most exploitative companies I ever
worked for was my first job out of college, it was a company called Kaplan
University. I was a frontline associate, and I knew something wasn’t quite
right, but when you’re low income, have college debt, and are just getting
out of Section 8 housing, you’ll take any job you can get.
The company wouldn’t let us log our overtime hours, and made us come in
early and stay late without logging in.
Now I know that wage theft accounts for $50 billion in stolen wages from
employees annually.
Not long after I left, I got a settlement check in the mail for wages
stolen from me by Kaplan University. It therefore did not surprise me at
all that not long after that, Kaplan also settled a massive lawsuit for
stealing from students as well.
This is what corporate corruption looks like. What makes that corruption
even worse is that politicians further enable it by taking corporate
funding.
Kaplan is ultimately owned by Amazon, and Amazon corporation funds
hundreds of politicians on the federal level every single year – including
my opponent, Bill Foster. And you can guess how many times he’s called out
Kaplan University for their corruption, wage theft, and exploitation of
former employees and students: zero.
With so much at stake, I want to hear what you think. Do you think that
