As we navigate our new normal during these trying times, don't forget: There’s still unfinished business from the legislative session.

The Virginia Values Act is officially on the Governor’s desk, and we hope he signs it as soon as he can. 

We’re confident the question is when, not if, he will sign it. The Governor has been a strong proponent of this bill and supporter of our community. COVID-19 has simply altered his immediate priorities during the 30-day timeline for signing it.

What we need to do now is keep VA Values Act on his radar. Email Governor Northam now. Urge him to protect LGBTQ Virginians and sign the #VAValuesAct ASAP.

Especially in this time of crisis, LGBTQ Virginians need to know they can’t be turned away from basic services, or lose their jobs or homes, because of who they are.

But even before now, LGBTQ Virginians confronted a daily struggle to secure a job, rent a home and be themselves in public spaces. 

With his signature, Governor Northam can stop that. 

We know he’s facing many incredibly urgent issues right now, but we need him to finalize protecting Virginians from discrimination.  

Will you give us a few seconds of your time to email the Governor? Ask him to sign the Virginia Values Act as soon as he can. We can’t wait a minute longer!
