For the fifth consecutive year, strawberries top EWG’s Dirty Dozen™ list. We found 22 different pesticides on a single strawberry sample!

Can’t find organic in your local store? Check out EWG’s Clean Fifteen™ list of the fruits and vegetables that are least likely to have pesticide residues. Stick to this list when organic options aren’t accessible or affordable.

You won’t find raisins on the Dirty Dozen list, since we don’t include processed foods in the list, but we had to highlight these shocking results. Ninety-nine percent of conventional raisins tested positive for at least two pesticide residues, including brain-damaging chlorpyrifos and bee-killing neonics!

Neonics are infamous because they are linked to a massive decline in bee populations, but emerging research also shows that neonics may harm brain development in kids! The EPA is asking the public to weigh in on neonics, but we only have until April 4 to convince them to ban these toxic pesticides!
