The NRA made their case against gun safety laws directly to President Trump.
Everytown for Gun Safety

John — the NRA spent over $30 million to elect Donald Trump so they could call him whenever they wanted. And that's just what NRA chief executive Wayne LaPierre reportedly did on Tuesday...and multiple times on Wednesday. LaPierre told Trump that requiring background checks on all gun sales would be unpopular with Trump's supporters. He told Trump stronger gun laws are a bad idea.

This is the fight we're up against. It's not just the decades of dangerous rhetoric and weakening or opposing gun safety laws, it's the direct line to Trump. Our only chance to stop the NRA's extreme agenda is with our grassroots movement to end gun violence and your support. Contribute now to our fight against the NRA's extreme agenda in Congress and in the White House.
