As Donald Trump gets closer to locking up the Republican nomination, the right-wing media are falling in line.
Case in point? Just look at this bonkers Orwellian headline from the opinion page of the Murdoch-owned Wall Street Journal:

That’s right! According to the Wall Street Journal opinion page, the guy who organized a failed coup attempt on January 6th is actually a champion for democracy!
John, this is how Donald Trump’s fascism is normalized by right-wing bad actors.
The Wall Street Journal has a reputation as a “paper of record,” but the truth is John, the paper is owned by the Murdoch family, the masterminds behind Fox News.
This isn’t the first time the Wall Street Journal has used its massive reach to help normalize Trump. In 2021, the opinion section published a Trump-authored letter to the editor where Trump repeated the same lies and debunked fraud claims that led to January 6th.
John, we know their end game. By propping up Trump at all costs, they can keep pushing their right-wing agenda while keeping ratings and profits high.
It’s the same playbook they used in 2016 to get Trump elected. And it’s the same playbook they used in 2020 to help spread Trump’s lies about Joe Biden and Democrats stealing the election.
