More BABIES at risk
NEW YEAR CAMPAIGN - UPDATE
Dear Supporter,
I am just re-sending this email today in case you missed it yesterday. If you already saw it, and if you have already responded, then THANK YOU!
I wanted to give you a quick update on our January/February New Year fundraising campaign, and to let you know that since Friday evening, YOU have raised an extra £3,725.48.
With what we have raised so far, that brings us to £77,049.93
These funds will be used to protect babies and women from the dangers of abortion.
I am sending this email to say THANK YOU to all of you who have helped us reach this amazing result.
This is an amazing result, but it still leaves us with a shortfall of £22,950.07.

However, at the time of writing, we are aware of new threats to the pro-life movement:
* James Cleverly MP, the new Home secretary, has indicated that he is going to toughen up restrictions on pro-lifers offering last-minute help at abortion clinics
* The Daily Record is slamming the Scottish Catholic Church, claiming that it is "recruiting people to join anti-abortion protests run by a group known to 'intimidate' women"
* Monica Lennon MSP called these peaceful vigils "predatory behaviour" and said "Church leaders should not be encouraging crowds to gather at hospitals".
* Pro-abortion doctors, midwives, nurses and students have launched an ongoing protest outside the Old Bailey, with posters on buses, campaigning for decriminalisation amendments in Parliament.
They are really picking up momentum:
* A Guardian opinion piece entitled "British abortion law is a medieval nightmare" called readers to "fight" for decriminalisation "because staying polite has got us precisely nowhere."
Without this last remaining £22,950.07, the Abortion Juggernaut will crush us all – and even YOU might be accused of being "predatory" and "intimidating" just for not agreeing.
All the power lies with the pro-abortion lobby.
* When SPUC secured advertising on buses in 2019, the abortion lobby got what they wanted and we were refused space to run our adverts.
* The same thing happened with national billboards in 2021.
There's no free speech when companies cave to the abortion lobby
All the odds are stacked against us. That's why we must raise this £22,950.07 by the end of this campaign, and action the plans mentioned in this campaign:
* Supporter tool for ensuring an INFORMED ELECTORATE in the General Election
* STREET-EDUCATION initiatives like Project Truth and Heart to Heart
* PUBLICISING HELP FOR PREGNANT MUMS like The Alma Mater Fund, and ARCH for those who have undergone abortions.
Will you help us reach this £22,950.07 today?
If you have been waiting to see how far we would get, then now is the time to give!
The more we raise, the more lives we save.

Your generous giving allows SPUC to enter the political field ready for battle.
Only recent, SPUC held a ground-breaking parliamentary event which placed abortion coercion at the centre of the political stage.
This event in October 2023 drew MPs from across the political spectrum, representing:
* Conservatives
* Labour
* Liberal Democrats
* DUP
It followed SPUC's successful parliamentary report which forced the UK Government to address questions from MPs about UK aid to China, despite its regime of forced state abortion.
MPs heard the harrowing stories of Hayley and Lydia, both of whom underwent abortions which they didn't want.
It is so important to bring politicians face to face with the reality of coercive abortion – and SPUC is the organisation with the main means to do so.
This shows the power of pro-life campaigning.
Together, we can make politicians listen. We can protect unborn children.
We can build a world where abortion is unthinkable.
But only with your support.
Imagine if we could quadruple the number of pro-life MPs, or at least those willing to come to an event like this.
We would be able to equip them with the FACTS needed for holding the Government to account, and for bringing forward pro-life Bills.
All we need for a powerful General Election campaign are the resources.
But SPUC is 100% supporter-funded.
We don’t receive Lottery money or government or corporate grants.
Our work saving babies depends on YOU. That is why we are so grateful that you have helped us get SO CLOSE to our £100k target.
If you would like to give £20 – £50 – £100 or £500 – or an amount of your choice – to help unborn babies (and their mothers) escape the horror of abortion?
Thanks once again for helping us nearly reach our target of £50k. We are only £22,950.07 away!
If you have not yet given, will you help us?

Many thanks again!
Yours sincerely,
John Deighan
