Hi John,
In the midst of a devastating cost of living crisis, billionaires and major corporations are shamelessly raking in massive profits around the world by effectively ripping off consumers and workers, and suffocating smaller businesses.

Our recent joint study, produced with our allies, found that over the past five years the top 20 companies have increased their average markup (the difference between their prices and their costs) by a staggering 50%. This is double the 25% average markup by smaller companies. Why? Because they can!

We can also reveal that these corporations spend more than £132 million annually on lobbying to influence political institutions in the US and the EU.

These companies have grown so colossal, so omnipotent, that they're practically untouchable.Too big to fail, too big to trust, and apparently, too big to care. And this monopoly power play isn't just hurting your wallet - it's fuelling global inequality, tearing at the seams of democracy, and accelerating the climate crisis.

But we don't have to stand on the sidelines. Backed by the strength of thousands of members, supporters, and activists nationwide, we're dedicated to creating a world where these corporate giants can't do whatever they please at the expense of people and the planet.

Despite how it sometimes feels, change is possible. And you can strengthen the fight-back against corporate monopolies by becoming a member of Global Justice Now today.

Governments should make rules that serve the public interest. But the rules of the global economy, established over several decades, make that harder. That’s why we push for the transformation of international trade, investment and finance systems.

We’re tirelessly campaigning for the UK to exit the climate-wrecking Energy Charter Treaty which allows big corporations the power to sue governments for taking action on the climate emergency.

And we’ve just launched our new campaign urging all party leaders to endorse a global exit plan from climate-wrecking fossil fuels, writing new rules to put the public interest ahead of the privileges of corporations. Because despite recent commitments to transition away from fossil fuels at the UN's annual climate conference, existing international processes are failing to instigate the rapid change required, as they remain tied to powerful corporations.

We’re up against the big players and a system that favours them. To continue and to scale up our work we need a big movement of people. By becoming a member, you join a community dedicated to challenging the status quo and create positive change.
