Friends,

I want to share with you updates from my recent work in Washington and at home.

Following the House Homeland Security Committee’s detailed impeachment report, this week I voted to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. While the vote failed to pass the House by a very thin margin, I am asking it to be brought back up for a vote as soon as possible. The fight to secure the border and hold the Administration accountable must continue.

Also, this week, I led efforts to end US taxpayer funding of UNRWA, a UN aid agency which has troubling ties to Hamas. And, I called out National Science Foundation officials for censoring free speech. You’ll never believe their answer.

This week I also visited local small businesses Paulson Manufacturing and Southwest Traders and area agricultural leaders in Temecula Valley and the Rancho Water Community.

Also on my watch is the recovery from the recent local storms. My team stands ready to assist residents with federal recovery effort needs. Please call my office at (760) 304-7575 for assistance.

Finally, and with heavy heart, please keep the families, friends, and colleagues of our local Marines lost in the Pine Valley helicopter accident in your thoughts.

Sincerely,
