Friend,

Yesterday, we told you about Governor Holcomb’s latest actions to limit the
spread of the coronavirus and save Hoosier lives.

He had a simple message in these complicated times – “Hunker down, Hoosiers.”

<>
And today he told us stories about the Hoosier character and spirit:

* It’s the Hoosier who anonymously donated 150 face masks to the Indiana
State Department of Health. They said, “‘I don't want anything. I don't want
recognition. I don't want to be paid. I want to help.”

* It’s the uniformed police officers in Southport making runs for the
elderly, making sure they get food and medicine.

* It’s a refurbished school bus in Plainfield delivering meals.

* It’s the casino in Hammond that quickly donated all of its perishable food
to community programs.

* It’s a community partnership in New Albany that’s helping restaurant
workers who are temporarily out of work.

*
And it’s every ordinary Hoosier who is stepping up, staying home, and saving
lives.

These stories are the whole purpose of “Hunker down, Hoosiers.” It’s about
fighting back.

We’re in this fight together. And together, we’ll win this war against
COVID-19.

“We're acting now. Fighting back. That’s the whole purpose of hunker down
Hoosiers. It's to make sure we get through this storm as fast as humanly
possible.” – Gov. Holcomb

Thanks,

-Your Holcomb Crew
