Folks --

I know how difficult this time is for so many people in our state and across the country. So before I go any further, thank you for opening this email. Just knowing that we have your support is enough.

But to be frank, our very first FEC filing deadline of this election year is in exactly one week. So in a minute, I'm going to ask you to add a donation to our campaign -- but please, only pitch in if you can afford to do so -- I really mean that.

Time and again, Republican Senator Cory Gardner has sided with his wealthy friends over the people he was elected to serve. That's why Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, and their special interests buddies will do whatever it takes to save his seat.

But their mountains of cash can't hide the truth: Cory Gardner is one of the most unpopular Senators up for re-election and the polls show John Hickenlooper beating him come November.

We can win this race, folks, but it's going to take all of us who are able, coming together and building a campaign that can fight back against the GOP's dark money machine. That's why I'm turning to you:

Can our team count on you to add a donation of $10 or more before our critical end-of-quarter fundraising deadline? I wouldn't ask if it wasn't important.

Like I said, only pitch in if you can afford to do so. John knows that the most important thing you can do right now is take care of yourself and your loved ones.

No matter what, we're so grateful to have you on the team.
