Friend—I am proud and honored to have received the endorsement of a champion for justice and equity, Los Angeles City Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez.

Eunisses was one of the leaders behind Measure J, a transformative effort to invest in restorative justice measures such as youth development, job training, small business development, supportive housing services and alternatives to incarceration in LA County.

She defeated a 24-year career politician to earn a spot on the 15-member LA City Council, where she has been a consistent progressive vote and outspoken voice against cruel policies like the 41.18 anti-homeless encampment ordinance.

I am honored that Eunisses endorsed this campaign, and that her recognition makes us one of just two candidates in the race to receive an endorsement by a sitting LA City Councilmember.
