Bombed out hospitals. Destroyed schools. Overcrowded displacement camps.

Over the last few months, intense fighting has left nearly one million Syrians uprooted and facing brutal conditions in northwest Syria — with more than half of them being women and children.

Coronavirus is now confirmed in Syria where many children and families are living in overcrowded tent camps and derelict buildings. Attacks in recent weeks have forced 84 health centers in Syria to pause operations, stranding vulnerable families without access to the medical care they so urgently need. The facilities that remain open operate without enough electricity, equipment or medicine.
