Hi friend,

More than half of California legislators accept oil money during their campaigns. And this includes many Democrats who claim to care about fighting climate change!

But this isn’t just because Big Oil gives them a lot. It’s also because these candidates are not confident that they will get enough support from the climate movement to win their races.

That is why YOUR donations matter, friend. Your contributions not only directly support climate champion candidates but also send a clear message: Candidates don’t need money from oil and gas to get elected.

The power of the environmental and climate justice movements will stand firmly behind them as long as they fulfill their environmental campaign promises.

So friend, will you support our efforts to find and elect candidates who refuse to take oil money and cave to special corporate interests by giving a gift to our Elect Climate Champions Fund?

Let me tell you a little bit more about the Elect Climate Champions Fund, friend:

Elect Climate Champions Fund is an EnviroVoters-sponsored PAC that funds bold, pro-environment candidates running for state legislative and statewide offices. We aim to help change which candidates are considered viable and elect leaders across gender, race, ethnicity, age, and ability who are committed to advancing climate justice and equity in their capacity as elected officials.

The ultimate goal of the PAC is simple: make oil money donations a relic of the past and create a permanent and diverse climate majority in the California legislature.

And this isn’t just a future aspiration.

We have been massively successful in the past few years. For many of the toughest head-to-head races between oil-backed candidates and environmental candidates, we were able to secure victories even while being largely outspent. We now have a solid 70% win rate, and plan to improve on that record even higher in this year’s elections.

But we also need your support in making that happen.

Friend, your contributions could mean the difference between a successful climate year in the legislature and a failed one. Please make a gift today to support our PAC that gets it done → [link removed]

Thank you for helping us further our world-shifting goals.
