TREC Meeting on February 12: Here's What to Expect
CE Credit

License holders may earn up to four hours of Continuing Education (CE) elective credit per two-year renewal cycle by attending any Commission meeting in person. If a meeting is fewer than four hours long, you will receive credit for the length of the meeting. Don't forget to sign in and out of the meeting.

* The Broker-Lawyer Committee (BLC) had its first meeting of the year on January 12 [ [link removed] ]. The committee reviewed public comments, took a deep dive into recent case law, and cleared up confusion over a proposed MUD notice.?
* The Education Standards Advisory Committee (ESAC) opened its first meeting of the year [ [link removed] ] with a welcome to new members and a recommendation for Principles I & II courses.?
* The Texas Real Estate Inspector Committee (TREIC) met January 16 [ [link removed] ] and welcomed new members, elected officers, discussed possible changes to the number of licensing types and education requirements, and highlighted the upcoming new review of the Real Estate Inspector Standards of Practice [ [link removed] ].

License holders have the option to register LLCs and S-Corporations (S-Corps) with TREC for the sole purpose of receiving compensation, as long as those entities meet certain requirements [ [link removed] ].
