As we continue to honor Black History Month, we want to empower you with resources to become a more informed and supportive ally for Black LGBTQ+ young people. Research shows that the support of family and allies can be transformative for LGBTQ+ young people. In fact, Black transgender and nonbinary young people with high social support from their family had 47% lower odds of reporting a suicide attempt in the past year.

Your allyship can play a vital role in fostering a supportive environment that positively influences the well-being of Black LGBTQ+ young people.
