Hi there, friend, I'm Rachel, Sherrod's campaign manager.

I know I've reached out to you a few times before with campaign updates. But today, I wanted to take a step back from all that to share why I'm so proud to be on Team Sherrod.

I'm from St. Clairsville, a small town in Eastern Ohio – a place where Sherrod's fight for the Dignity of Work, affordable health care, Social Security, and more has made a big difference.

That's what first inspired me to join his campaign in 2018 – and today, I'm back as his campaign manager because I'm more committed than ever to helping him win reelection and keep up the fight for working people.

I'm proud to work for a senator who cares so deeply about the people he serves. Who listens more than he talks (because, believe me, that's rare in Washington). Who believes in our country's ideals of equality and opportunity for everyone and knows that we can and must do better.

But I've been around the block, so believe me when I say: Sherrod is in his toughest race yet. Polls already show this race is in a dead heat – and everyone from Donald Trump to Mitch McConnell is coming after us because they know our race will decide whether or not Republicans can take back the Senate.

As a proud daughter of Ohio, take it from me that any of Sherrod's three millionaire GOP opponents would be a disaster for our state and our country.
