New legal resources for churches to navigate COVID-19
March 24, 2020

Dear Ministry Friends, Pastors and Church Leaders,

Last week, in response to the COVID-19 crisis, PJI released first-of-its-kind legal guidance for pastors and church leaders. The response was overwhelming! Thank you to the hundreds of church leaders who joined our teleconference and followed up with your questions and encouragement.

As more states have issued stay-at-home orders directly affecting church ministries, PJI has updated ([link removed]) ([link removed]) our original guidance for California. In addition, we have just released new legal memos for church leaders in Oregon ([link removed]) , Washington State ([link removed]) , and Colorado ([link removed]) ! ([link removed]) We anticipate adding guidance for even more states in the coming days. PJI attorneys are carefully reviewing the legal basis for each state’s directives to ensure church leaders have the most specific and strategic information possible.

All of these legal memos are now available at no charge on our website, www.PJI.org ([link removed]) . We plan to soon add videos to assist churches navigating other challenges such as streaming services online. Please help us get the word out to your fellow pastors and church leaders who may not be receiving this e-mail!

Throughout this crisis, PJI is here to serve the Body of Christ. These disruptions will not deter us from our mission to defend the faith and fight for freedom! Your prayers and continued support are greatly appreciated.

Running the Race,

Brad Dacus and the PJI Legal Team
