Scott Perry is at it again!
As an extreme House Freedom Caucus member, Mr. Perry spent the last few days stopping important, bipartisan legislation from becoming law.
Why might you ask?
Donald Trump.
Mr. Trump, and his allies in Congress, don’t want President Biden to get any credit for legislation that will improve the lives of working families! Instead of working with his colleagues to find solutions to our nation’s problems, he continues to play political games.
It’s just embarrassing.
First, Mr. Perry voted against a bipartisan tax relief bill that would cut taxes for businesses and provide tax credits to low-income families that would lift over 5 million children out of poverty.
Then, after months of negotiation, the Senate announced a bipartisan deal to seriously address the security of our southern border and provide support to Ukraine in its war against Russia. After demanding any aid to Ukraine include border security, Mr. Perry reversed his position and now rejects this deal. He’s even gone so far as to call it a “dumpster fire.” This legislation is now likely dead upon arrival in Congress.
