Dear Washington Area Community:
In 2022, the American Foreign Policy Council held a closed door
roundtable bringing together U.S. and foreign scholars at the Airlie
Conference Center in Warrenton, Virginia in order to examine the state
of the common “war of ideas” against Islamic extremism.
We’re delighted
to invite you to join us next month at a
one-day public conference on the same subject in what we hope will
become an annual conference series.
This year's edition of the "Airlie Dialogue" will take place
on Monday, February 12th at the
University Club of Washington (1135 16th Street NW, Washington,
DC). During the event, experts from Indonesia, the UAE, Uzbekistan and
other nations will join together to discuss a number of pressing
topics, including:
•New technologies and the struggle for hearts and minds
•Balancing religion and state
•The Taliban Emirate and its impact on Asia
•America’s role in the “war of ideas"
The conference will also feature a broad array of speakers from
leading U.S. policy institutions, including the Hudson Institute,
the Washington Post, MEMRI, William & Mary College, New
Lines Institute, the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and The
Soufan Group.
We sincerely hope you can join us for what promises to
be an important and impactful event! To register, please click here.
A full conference agenda will be
provided to registered participants through subsequent correspondence.
We look forward to seeing you on February 12th. 2024:
