Friend –
As coronavirus continues to spread, my biggest concern is New Jerseyans having the resources we need to combat it. That’s why I want to let you know what I’ve been doing to help our doctors.
Our biggest struggle: ensuring hospitals have every resource needed to keep people healthy. Doctors are running out of N95 protective masks and they’re being forced to use surgical masks instead. Unfortunately, the mask shortage is just the beginning.
The next shortage will be ventilators.
In this country, no one should walk out of a hospital without receiving the best care. This is why I’m glad the president has enacted the
Defense Production Act. Once production and distribution starts, our doctors will be better positioned to respond to the crisis.
I know that as we continue to shelter in place, it will get harder to be hopeful and helpful to those in need. But doing what we can now will help flatten the curve and — most importantly — save lives.
If you’re able to, will you donate to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, American Red Cross, and New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund?
I’m honored to be your representative, and I will continue to update you as this situation unfolds. We’ll get through this together.
Yours,
Josh
