Ukrainian Shakeup

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky removed his top general in the most significant shake-up of the country’s leadership since the full-scale Russian invasion began nearly two years ago, as the WSJ reports.

Infantry Shortage

The Ukrainian military is facing a critical shortage of infantry, leading to exhaustion and diminished morale on the front line, military personnel in the field said this week, as The Washington Post reports.

Ongoing Discussions

As a Hamas delegation went to Cairo on Thursday for more talks about ending the war in Gaza, Israeli officials signaled that their government was still open to negotiation, despite Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s strong public rejection of a Hamas proposal, as the NYT reports.
